Against all odds, and critcisms, from a city where many from this community could hardly imagine that recording  industry success of any kind was possible. This group of young people in their teens formed a group that literally would change lives around the world. Decades later, songs from their very first album are being sampled by international rap artists and being spun in clubs in Europe and Asia by young DJs still in their 20s. 

This film will not only include the deep and heartfelt story of these young people, but will also have interviews from the new generation os DJs and producers still effected by this first Family Love Album recorded in 1977.
